Fair Trade Coffee, Valentines Bears, AND Matt & Anna!

What does Rev. Billy getting carted off the jail, K-Mart teddy bears on sale, and Matt & Anna have in common? They all took a major plunge on February 11th! That's right- Matt, being the cleaver AP guy that he is, called Rev. Billy and asked him in the midst of his Anti-Starbucks/Pro-Fair-Trade rally at the cube at Astor Place, if he could so kindly marry them. The Southern Preacher, said "HALLELUJAHYESS!"- Surrounded by Television cameras, press cameras and me...they felt like full-blown celebrities!

It got a tad chilly ,so for portraits we moved inside to the Valentines aisle in K-Mart, I for one thought it was the most perfect( and appropriate) backdrop for a February winter wedding. The after party, but of-course McSorleys Pub!

ICE EXCURSIONS!

I normally honker-down in the winter time, but this year(so far)-I have changed my tune and did 2 great long getaway weekends that I recommend! We went to Portland, Oregon and visited friends over MLK weekend. We have been there before and luckily when we went there wasn't a drop of rain! We ventured out to hood river and took the old highway along the Columbia Gorge. Waterfalls surrounded by massive icicles was very cool (no pun intended).

We also went to see my best friend in her new 200 year old house in Cohasset, Mass. My dog was ECSTATIC to be on the beach off-season. The town was warm and cozy for sure. The town fountain had froze over and kids ice-skated every day. It was truly out of Norman Rockwell.
